The primary objective of the International Refugee Sports Federation is to create suitable conditions for the personal and social growth of refugees through sports. Sport, as a powerful tool, can play a significant role in cultural connections, enhancing peace, and human solidarity. Through sports activities, this federation provides suitable opportunities for refugees and immigrants to flourish and develop personally.
The activities of the International Refugee Sports Federation include organizing competitions, training sessions, sports camps, educational programs, and empowerment initiatives. These activities showcase the talents and sports skills of refugees and allow them to gain more familiarity with different cultures and businesses. Integration through sports provides an opportunity for refugees to connect with their peers in a friendly environment and benefit from cultural diversity."

Signing of Cooperation Agreement Between IRSF and HPA

On Thursday, 20 November 2025, Behnam Imani, President of the International Refugee Sports Federation (IRSF), and Andreas Kolettis, President of the Hellenic Powerlifting Association (HPA), met in Athens and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Solidarity. The agreement aims to support refugee athletes, promote inclusion and human dignity, and foster cultural and athletic connections between Greek and refugee communities. Both organizations look forward to future joint activities, community events, and knowledge exchange initiatives.
